This listing is for a gorgeous luxury Christmas Eve box. This year there are options for a hat or sock box! This box is design for a Christmassy cast on, and you’ll get a lovely hat or pair of socks before the New Year! This would make a lovely treat or you or gift for someone special at Christmas.
Hat Box
- 1 x 100g skein of yarn in Cosy DK. The colour palettes are inspired by Carols at Candlelight, and can be seen in the picture in the listing. You have 2 choices - In the Bleak Midwinter or Once in Royal.
- 1 x Faux Fur Pom Pom to go with your yarn
- 1 x Crochet hat pattern
- 1 x Knitted hat pattern

- Packed in a lovely magnetic box.
Sock Box
- 1 x 100g skein of yarn in 80/20 Sock. The colour palettes are inspired by Carols at Candlelight - While Shepherds Washed their Socks as seen in the photos on the listing.
- 1 x 20g mini skein of yarn in 80/20 Sock - great for rib, heels and toes.
- 1 x Knitted sock pattern
- Little extras
- Packed in a lovely magnetic box.
Please do not order anything else with your box as these will be shipped in their own special packaging! Multiple boxes together are fine :)
Shipping:
Boxes will be dispatched by mid December in plenty of time for Christmas. Shipping will be via Tracked 24 only, and the box is excluded from the free standard (tracked 48) shipping rate. Once your order has been shipped, you will get an email with the tracking details on it.
Patterns:
The hat and sock designs are brand new ones for this year. The level for both is intermediate - they're not hugely difficult or complicated once you get the hang of the stitches and make a really lovely effect.
Yarn:
Merino is a super soft and non scratchy yarn, and is great for regulating your temperature too.
Colours in each skein will vary slightly due to the nature of hand dyed yarn. If using more than one skein it is recommended to alternative the skeins on each row to alleviate the differences.
Hand washing in cold/lukewarm water with a wool wash is recommended for this yarn (or machine washing on a cool wool wash). Colours may run slightly on the first washing but this is normal. Do not tumble dry!
All items are packaged in eco friendly and recyclable materials. As little as possible single use plastic is used in any of the packaging or posting materials - any used is biodegradable or recyclable (depending on your location). Please do recycle or reuse where you can!

Poms
All my pom poms are handmade by me - The Crafty Bird and made from 100% guaranteed faux fur. They are fab for topping off your own garments or knitting or crochet projects. They look especially good on a bobble hat!
All colours vary slightly depending on your device and no pom pom is exactly the same due to the nature of the fabric and how the colours are laid out.
All Pom Poms measure approx 3.5 inches in the body of the pom, plus the fur length - so those with longer piles will appear bigger. Most measure approx 5-6 inches including fur length.
Pom Pom Care
If it looks less fluffy, give it a good shake. Try not to get your pom pom wet (a bit of rain or snow is fine!). Spot Clean only. If your pom pom gets wet, give it a blow dry to dry it and get the fluffiness back.
